What is Shade Variation?
Shade variation is inherent in all natural wood products, including engineered wood. Shade and texture can vary significantly from board to board. V1 shade variation has little or no change from board to board whereas a V4 variation will have a large variety of colour and/or texture changes. Wood is a product of nature and, as such, will display natural characteristics and variances that are exclusive to each and every board. These characteristics are an integral part of the beauty and elegance of wide plank engineered hardwood; No two boards are alike.
